    In this course learners will be guided towards a series of techniques in teaching stories and enjoyment of children’s literature. Learnerswill study a wide range of texts and explore their value and use in theirclassrooms for the development of young learners’ language proficiency through integrated language arts activities. The course includes the study of a critical way to analyze picture storybooks, the storytelling techniques, the reading process and roles and strategies for promoting language proficiency through various picture storybooks.

    本课的学程共五周，每周看视频30分钟，作业约60分钟。课程计划如下：

    单元1：A brief introduction to Children’s picture storybooks
    单元作业：Find a picture storybook and read it to a child

    单元2 ：The importance of picture storybook
    单元作业：List three advantages of teaching English through picture storybooks.

    单元3 ：How to use a picture storybook
    单元作业：Choose your own picture storybook and analyze it.
    单元4 ：Story-telling techniques
    单元作业：Record your way of telling a story

    单元5 ：How to plan a story-based English lesson
    单元作业：plan a story-based English lesson

    上传作业，QQ学习群内进行学员互评和主讲老师评分相结合。每次的单元作业的平均等级为学员结业成绩。
    成绩等级为A/B/C(85/70/60)。

    成绩等级达到 B 可获得结业证书。
