In this course learners will be guided towards a series of techniques in teaching stories and enjoyment of children’s literature. Learnerswill study a wide range of texts and explore their value and use in theirclassrooms for the development of young learners’ language proficiency through integrated language arts activities. The course includes the study of a critical way to analyze picture storybooks, the storytelling techniques, the reading process and roles and strategies for promoting language proficiency through various picture storybooks.
